Desaware, Inc. ships the Desaware ActiveX Gallimaufry™ version 2.0. An eclectic set of ActiveX controls with full Visual Basic Source Code.

Campbell, CA - May, 1999 -- Desaware today announced shipment of version 2.0 of the Desaware ActiveX Gallimaufry. Desaware's ActiveX Gallimaufry includes an unusual selection of ActiveX controls and components that are both useful and educational. Educational, because they are written in Visual Basic and include complete Visual Basic source code and technical documentation for each component. With this product, Desaware continues its tradition of offering programmers unique products in addition to information on advanced programming techniques.

The Desaware ActiveX Gallimaufry is comprised of nine ActiveX controls and components.

• Twain Scanner Control - This easy to use scanning control is able to acquire images from most TWAIN compliant devices including scanners and digital cameras.
• Banner Control - It may look like a typical Internet marquee control, but turn on its transparency mode and you can create a marquee over any bitmap.
• HexEdit Control - Add a hex editor utility to any application - or use our hex file editor as a stand-alone utility.
• PerList Control - From a developer not too far away, watch your text scroll off into the distance.
• MDI Taskbar Control - Add a Windows 95/ NT 4 style taskbar to your Visual Basic MDI application.
• RotatePic Control - Have you ever wanted to rotate a bitmap? Here's your chance.
• SpiralBox Control - Is it the most hypnotic graphic control around? Or a chance to learn high mathematics? Or maybe, it's just for fun.
• Common Dialog Component - Offers efficient access to the Windows common dialogs, with more flexibility than the common dialog control included with VB.
